Stitching Shadows

I could not be anything but inspired by Hels lovely art over at Ink on my Fingers today where the theme for the Sunday Stamper is a Stitch in Time.  I had a quick look at my stash, which is all very neat and tidy at the moment, because while I've been feeling less than motivated to actually make anything I have tidied up and organised my supplies three times this month.  I knew exactly where all things sewing were. Very unusual for me.

Time to use some Wendy Vecchi Art Parts that I've had for ages, so I've made a mini sewing themed shadow box.
I will freely admit that there isn't much stamping, but if you look carefully you can see the dressform from Tim Holtz's Haberdashery set stamped in Stazon on some Clearly for Art.

The Art Part frame is covered with paper which has been sanded and inked withVintage Photo Distress Ink to age it.  Sandwiched between the paper and the frame is the Clearly for Art, which amazingly stuck really well with Glossy Accents. The background is from my Crowded Attic paper stack.
I don't know who the little chipboard dressform is made by, but anyway I've covered it with some more of my paper stash, sanded and inked the edges, and then draped some blue silk around it.

Inside  there are some little Ideology safety pins, a Trinket pin, some lace, ribbon, buttons and a mini hanger.
The frame has then been finished off with some more ribbon trim, a resin flower and another mini hanger.

This is really beautiful, must try out your idea with Clearly Art. The form looks a little like Kaisercraft to me. Love what you have done here. Regards Anne Rx

I thought there were not many variations on using dressform, but you have done a really good one!
