Holiday Romance?

I was intrigued by the title of this weeks Sunday Stampers Challenge, and, for no known reason thought of secret holiday romances. Actually it might have been because I was sorting out a few bags of collage type stuff and found some Artchix freebies including a picture of a luvy duvy couple.

Loved ripping up an old box to make the background, which I have lightly painted with Kaiser Antique White, and Adirondack Aqua Dabber, plus a light spray of Crafty Notions Champagne Spray. Next I cut a background from my Shabby Vintage stack, which was actually quite hard as I love these papers so much I just want to look at them!! I then used a couple of Tim Holtz Mini Classics stamps on the background.

The torn up love letter is some paper distressed with vintage photo, and the stamped with a Paper Artsy script stamp. My Artchix freebie photo is also given the Vintage Photo treatment and then the edges are dipped in Platinum UTEE to make the frame. The heart is grunge paper covered with a bit of a french dictionary, and again inked with VP.

I have used an Ideology Journalling Ticket which has been scrunched up and inked, plus an Ideology lock and key. The flower I think is by Prima, but have had it ages and lost the packaging, and a couple of Maya Road trinket pins. I like the little hanger, and wish I could rember where I got it.

Now I've got to think about how to do one of those linky things, as I'm going to be brave and join in the Sunday Stamper Challenge!

CCC Week 11

To the ironing board!

I generally have an aversion to all things to do with ironing, to the extent that I have been known to only do the bits that show. How bad is that!

However, I love this fabby technique from the King of Distress, so I actually enjoyed switching my iron on.

The stamps I have used are from Paper Artsy Hot Pick 1005, Distress Inks in Bundled Sage and Tumbled Glass, Pearl Ten Seconds Studio Metal and the Paper Artsy Moth Die. The metal is coloured with Inka Gold in Blue and Green/Yellow.
The tag looks quite a bit lighter in real life, and the little dark blob in the top left is my little cat Tilly's foot, she was desperate to get in on the act this morning. Here's a close up of the little moth, with his little blingy antennae.

Getting started with this blogging lark

I must be one of the most computer hopeless people in the whole world, I just don't know how to link things and all that other stuff that everyone else seems to know, but its time to give it a go. I've made my Distress Crackle ATC, so now I'll have a go at posting it.
I really enjoyed making this, and its the first time I've managed to get a nice crackly effect. The bird cage is a Paper Artsy stamp on shrink plastic, unfortunately it doesn't show up all that well in the photo.

Time to write something

I must pluck up the courage to put something on my blog, but what?

It's been a really busy week at work and home, and somehow I managed to work four nights out of the last six, plus get called out on the night I wasn't working, hence the silence.

Today I think I will try and have a few hours of getting inky, but at the moment Tilly and Shroedinger, my gorgeous fluffy kits are trying to get in on the act. Thats Shroedinger in the picture, actually known as Ding Ding, for some reason Tilly will not stay still long enough for a picture, Ragdolls aren't meant to be hyperactive

The desk is now clear of kittens so time to have some crafty fun!

Well, I've finally got round to starting up a blog! Help, what am I going to do with it? I may have to think about this for a few days.
