Slightly Rusty

Just home from a short holiday in the sunshine, which has cheered me up no end, and now busy counting down the days till Artsycrafts (only 13 more sleeps!!). Being in a sunny mood from my holiday I started off Challenge No. 31 expecting something bright and cheerful, but what has evolved is definitely grungy, I seriously love all things grunge so am not too bothered. I really like this technique, which is new to me, and can be found on page 41 of the C of C's.
My tag is inked with Pumice Stone and Frayed Burlap DI's, and stamped (TH Artful Artifacts stamp) with black Archival , the tissue tape is aged with Alcohol Ink, and the pen nib (from The Artistic Stamper) is lightly swiped with some black acrylic paint to tone it down a bit. I'm now off to have a look round blogland at all the amazing art I've missed over the last week or so.

I really like your tag. May I ask the name of the stamp, and how you acquired the pen nib? I think I read where TH will be offering packages of pen nibs coming out after CHA. Again, your tag is very striking and I love the color combos.

Susie, this looks spectacular! David looks right at home on this very cool, perfectly distressed tag. Love that bright blue eye! You did such a great job with the rusted grunge technique, and the tissue tape and pen nib are great additions.

I'm so glad you had a nice holiday in the sun! Sounds FABULOUS!
